Opening Prayer Supplication

Opening Prayer Supplication

I seek refuge with Allah from shaytan, the outcast; from his whispers, the arrogance he places into hearts, and his tempting words.

O Allah, all praise is due to You. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them. All praise is due to You; You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them. All praise is due to You; You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them. All praise is due to You; to You belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them. All praise is due to You; You are the Sovereign of the heavens and the earth. All praise is due to You; You are the Truth, Your promise is true, Your words are true, meeting You is true, Paradise is true, the Hellfire is true, the prophets are true, Muhammad—may Allah's salah and salam be upon him—is true, and the Hour is true. O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have placed my trust, in You I have Iman, to You I have turned in repentance, for Your sake I argue, and by Your standard I judge. So forgive me for what I have done and what I will do, for what I have kept hidden and what I have made known, and for what You know of me that I do not know. You are the One who brings forward and the One who delays; there is no deity worthy of worship except You. You are my God; there is no deity worthy of worship except You. There is no power nor strength except through Allah.

Allah is greater than absolutely everything. Allah is greater than absolutely everything. Allah is greater than absolutely everything. Allah deserves abundant praise. Allah deserves abundant praise. Allah deserves abundant praise, and Allah deserves that His perfection be declared in the earlier and latter parts of the day.

O Allah, Lord of Jibril and Mikail, Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One whose knowledge encompasses the seen and the unseen — guide me to the truth, by Your permission, for indeed, You guide whom You will to the straight path.

I direct my acts of worship to the One who created the heavens and the earth, upright upon the straight path, and I am not of those who associate others with Him. Indeed, I devote my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death to Allah, the Lord of all creation, who has no partner. With this, I have been commanded, and I am among the Muslims. O Allah, You are the King; there is no deity worthy of worship except You. You are my Lord, and I am Your servant. I have wronged myself and admit my sins; therefore, forgive all my sins, for none forgives sins except You. Guide me to the best of character—none can guide to it but You—and shield me from corrupt traits—only You can protect me from them. Here I am, at Your service and at Your call! All good is in Your Hands, and evil is not attributed to You. I exist by You and return to You. Blessed and exalted are You! I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance. O Allah, Lord of Jibril and Mikail, Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One whose knowledge encompasses the seen and the unseen—guide me to the truth, by Your permission, for indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.

O Allah, You are perfect, and all praise is due to You. Blessed is Your Name, exalted is Your Majesty, and there is none who has the right to be worshipped except You.

O Allah, distance me from my sins as You have distanced the east from the west. O Allah, purify me from my sins as a white garment is purified from filth. O Allah, wash away my sins with ice, water, and hail.
