O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and the tyranny of men.

O Allah, I am Your servant, the son of Your servant, and the son of Your female servant. My matter is in Your hand, and what You decree for me shall be carried out, and it is just. I ask You by every name You have named Yourself with, revealed in Your Book, taught to one of Your servants, or kept in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Qur'an the joy of my heart, the light of my chest, and the cure for my sadness and my worry.
